Sinnonhyeon café with basement seats and fig pavlova: Bakerist Brown
Bakerist Brown is a large bakery café between Sinnonhyeon and Gangnam stations in Seoul, filling four levels from basement 1 up to the 3rd floor. Sitting with a friend on the half-basement level, the writer tried the 8-piece Gangnam Sand at 19,000 won, fig pavlova at 9,500 won, matcha madeleine at 3,800 won and a black sesame latte at 7,800 won, and the thickly matcha-coated madeleine was the surprise favourite. Bakerist Brown offers plenty of seating choice across its floors, though the staff service felt a little disappointing.
