Myeon Sikdang Godeok Station Branch is a ramen and rice-noodle chain restaurant on the first floor of the Lotteria building by Exit 4 of Godeok Station in Gangdong, Seoul. Three people ordered spicy tonkotsu ramen, mala shabu rice noodles and tonkotsu ramen with 2 pieces of mozzarella cheese katsu and 4 potato croquettes for under 10,000 won each, and rice refills are unlimited when everyone orders a main, so they went back for more. Myeon Sikdang is a value pick that nails the basics.

Nonsan Korean set-meal course at ₩43,000: Sonamu Hanjeongsik

Sonamu Hanjeongsik is a long-running Korean set-meal (hanjeongsik) restaurant on Nonsandae-ro in Nonsan, Chungnam, run for 25 years across two generations. In a reserved private room, the signature Sonamu Jeongsik course at ₩43,000 arrived dish by dish: grilled hairtail, beef short ribs braised at low temperature for 24 hours, Geumsan ginseng fritters and perilla oil cold buckwheat noodles. For a good-value hanjeongsik course eaten in a quiet room in Nonsan, Sonamu Hanjeongsik exceeded expectations.
