Hekbap Konkuk University Main Branch is a Japanese home-style rice bowl (donburi) restaurant on the second floor at 127 Neungdong-ro in Gwangjin, Seoul, a three-minute walk from Exit 3 of Konkuk University Station. Walking in at 11:30am on a weekend with no wait, the writer built a "my own set" combo of cold zaru soba, a salmon rice bowl and a beef intestine rice bowl, adding four mini sides: mini curry, mini udon, mini karaage fried chicken and mini pork cutlet. The verdict: a good-value donburi spot with single seats for solo diners and enough variety for groups to share.
