Late-night sashimi bar with open-air seats in Gunja, Seoul: Irow
Irow is an aged-sashimi izakaya in an alley about 7 minutes from Gunja Station exits 7 and 8, in Gwangjin, Seoul, open daily 17:00–02:00 with last order at 1am. Seated at the open-air tables created by pushing back the floor-to-ceiling windows, we had the sashimi platter (39,000 won) and draft beer, with flounder, salmon, tuna, sweet shrimp, octopus, rockfish, amberjack and Spanish mackerel each cut and prepared a different way. For a late-opening izakaya with atmosphere near Gunja Station, Irow is the one.
