Hyehwa counter-seat izakaya for 5 yakitori and beef sukiyaki: Hanamato
Hanamato Daehangno Hyehwa is a yakitori izakaya (Japanese-style pub) in an alley off Exit 4 of Hyehwa Station in Jongno, Seoul. On a weekend at 4pm we took the counter (dachi) seats and ordered five yakitori skewers for 13,000 won plus beef brisket sukiyaki with extra egg yolk sauce and vegetables. The smoky charcoal skewers and the cast-iron sukiyaki pot make Hanamato Daehangno Hyehwa a solid pick for two people near Daehangno.
