Friday dinner for two: flying fish roe fried rice at Songjjujip Magok

Songjjujip Magok is a webfoot octopus (jjukkumi) restaurant on the 2nd floor of Central Tower 2 near Magoknaru Station in Gangseo, Seoul. Two friends shared jjukkumi with pork belly and noodle add-ins, steamed egg, and flying fish roe fried rice for a total of ₩54,100 on a Friday evening, with staff stir-frying everything so the diners could just talk. The spice level, billed as similar to Shin Ramyun, turned out mild, and the flying fish roe fried rice was not optional — it was essential.
