Retro Yeongdeungpo izakaya, beef tataki with beer: Nani Byeolgwan
Nani Byeolgwan Yeongdeungpo Branch is an izakaya across from Times Square in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, decorated in the retro style of Korea's early-1900s enlightenment era. After work with older coworkers, the writer ordered beef tataki at 29,000 won, Sinramyeon risotto at 18,000 won and cucumber muchim (seasoned cucumber salad) at 8,000 won, all with beer. The lightly seared beef tataki and crisp cucumber muchim made Nani Byeolgwan a satisfying spot for after-work drinks.
