Handmade pork loin katsu at a Cheongju katsu restaurant: Myeonsikdang

Myeonsikdang Jiwel City is a Vietnamese noodle, ramen, and pork katsu restaurant on the first floor of LK Triplex Building A on Daenong-ro in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju. On a Tuesday at 5pm, the writer came with two elementary-school children and ordered shabu pho for 8,900 won, handmade pork loin katsu for 10,500 won, and mozzarella cheese katsu for 12,500 won, and the younger child, who normally avoids katsu, finished a whole plate dipping it in salt. Because each child can pick a different dish, Myeonsikdang Jiwel City has become a family spot worth returning to.
