Cheongju Korean restaurant worth the drive from Sejong: Jeju Badang

Jeju Badang is a grilled and braised fish Korean restaurant on the second floor of a building on Seohyeonnam-ro in Gagyeong-dong, Cheongju. The writer ordered the lunch specials — boneless Jeju hairtail stew with pot rice at 23,000 won and the grilled atka mackerel set with pot rice at 17,000 won — and finished every side dish, including the spicy pork that comes as standard and the self-serve bar, then rebooked a Chuseok table mid-meal after seeing the parking in front, behind and beside the building and the kids' play area. Jeju Badang is an easy recommendation for a Cheongju meal with both parents and children.
