Cleansing balm for oily skin makeup removal: HEEDA Jirisan

Why did I use a cleansing balm on oily skin?

I have mainly used cleansing balms when removing makeup. Cleansing oils seemed to cause breakouts on my oily skin, while cleansing water felt inconvenient because I had to use several cotton pads.

While switching between various products, I tried HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm. Its packaging mentioned natural charcoal, moisturizing, low-irritation care, and three-step emulsification.

How did I use the texture and container?

Inside the container were a protective plastic cover and a spatula. After removing the cover, I scooped out what I needed with the built-in spatula, then placed the spatula back in the container for storage after use.

The balm initially felt quite dense, but once I put it on the back of my hand, it melted with my hand warmth and spread smoothly. The balm itself was black, too.

How well did it remove makeup?

I tested it on the back of my hand with a glitter product, tint, and eyeliner. After massaging in the product, adding a little water to emulsify it, and rinsing, I found that the cleansing balm alone removed everything cleanly.

I also used it on my face, massaging for about 30 seconds. My makeup came off well, and my skin felt hydrated afterward. Blackhead-care effects were mentioned alongside the product description, but in this review I focused on how it felt immediately after cleansing rather than longer-term changes.

What were my impressions after using it?

For me, the smoothly melting texture and makeup-removing power felt comfortable. I was especially impressed that the hand test, including waterproof-style products, came off well and that my skin felt hydrated after cleansing.
