Gangneung beach café for pecan tart and pink lemonade: Baegya Coffee
Baegya Coffee is a large ocean-view bakery café spread over three floors, right in front of Sacheonjin Beach in Gangneung. On a weekday late afternoon there were free seats on the third floor, where pink lemonade and cappuccino came with a pecan tart and a pastry — the pecan nutty and rich, the pastry crisp with its layers intact. Baegya Coffee is roomy enough to bring kids or parents without feeling watched, making it an easy rest stop on a Gangneung trip.
