Korean BBQ near Sangil-dong Station: aged pork belly at Geumdon Hwaro
Geumdon Hwaro Sangil-dong Station Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Gangdong, Seoul, a 2-minute walk from Exit 4 of Sangil-dong Station on Line 5, serving aged fresh pork belly and pork jowl. Arriving an hour before the dinner rush to avoid the wait, the writer ordered two servings of aged pork belly and one of pork jowl, all grilled by staff, then worked through the restaurant's combination chart — Himalayan pink salt, wild garlic leaf, mustard leaf pickle and grilled baek-kimchi (white kimchi). The pork was good, but the full grilling service from start to finish was the best part of Geumdon Hwaro.
