Gwangjin ramen with paid parking nearby: shoyu and motsu at Mentsuru
Mentsuru Children's Grand Park Branch is a Japanese-style ramen restaurant right outside Exit 4 of Children's Grand Park Station in Gwangjin, Seoul. On a weekend visit by car, the writer and her husband ordered shoyu ramen (₩11,000) and motsu ramen (₩15,000), and parked at the nearby Hi-View Officetel pay lot (₩1,500 for 30 minutes, then ₩500 per 10 minutes) because Mentsuru has no lot of its own. Both bowls satisfied: clean broth with fresh noodles and three slices of chashu on the shoyu, and a generous pile of beef tripe on the motsu.
