Half-and-half jokbal with white sauce in Gwangju: Kkankkanhan Yongbong
Kkankkanhan Jokbal Yongbong Branch is a charcoal-grilled jokbal (braised pig's trotters) restaurant in the Yongbong-dong food alley of Buk-gu, Gwangju. The Friend Set for 3 came half charcoal-grilled jokbal and half fire-grilled spicy jokbal, with white sauce, curry sauce and flying fish roe rice balls added on top of the makguksu (cold buckwheat noodles) and lettuce wraps. Level 1 fire-grilled spicy jokbal was mild, and the new white sauce is the easy fix if spice is not your thing.
