Daegu Korean restaurant, galbi instead of mushrooms: Hyangtaek Jongno
Hyangtaek Daegu Jongno Branch is a Korean restaurant set in a renovated hanok (traditional Korean house) on Jongno in Jung-gu, Daegu. Dining with a child who dislikes mushrooms, the writer swapped the Naver Place follower gift of hanpan beoseot (mushroom platter) for the galbi platter at 10,000 won, and added mackerel gondre rice at 14,000 won and herring roe bibim noodles at 13,000 won — three dishes for two. The mild mackerel gondre rice and spicy herring roe noodles paired well with the juicy galbi platter.
