Rich meat broth naengmyeon by Pyeongtaek Station: Seoul Myeonok
Seoul Myeonok is a long-running naengmyeon (cold buckwheat noodle) restaurant three minutes on foot from Exit 1 of Pyeongtaek Station on Line 1. A couple house-hunting in Godeok New Town stopped in for pyongyang naengmyeon, bibim naengmyeon and a half order of suyuk (boiled sliced pork), and found the Seoul Myeonok broth distinctly rich in meat flavor rather than the extremely plain style they had tried in Jangchung-dong. The verdict: an easy first pyongyang naengmyeon for anyone new to the dish.
