Solo dining pot rice under 11,000 won in Ansan: Dongyang Sotbap
Dongyang Sotbap Ansan Main Branch is a Korean pot rice (sotbap) restaurant on the second floor of a building on Yesuldaehak-ro near Ansan Jungang Station in Gyeonggi. At a weekday lunch the writer ordered spicy pork neck pot rice for 10,900 won and gyudon pot rice for 9,900 won, with Dongyang pork cutlet for 5,900 won and honey kkwabaro (sweet fried pork) for 4,900 won on the side, seaweed soup as the base soup, and banchan and roasted rice water from the self-serve corner. With 1-2 person seats plus plenty of tables for groups, Dongyang Sotbap works just as well for a solo meal as for a party.
