Bansong-dong, Dongtan Korean BBQ with a weekend-night pork belly
Yangpuni Kimchi Jjigae & Samgyeopsal is a Korean BBQ and stew restaurant in Bansong-dong, Dongtan, in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi, near Gaenari Park and Central Park. On a weekend evening with her daughter, the writer ordered the samgyeop kimchi jjim (braised pork belly and kimchi) set at 28,000 won plus rice and a rolled omelette, feeding three for 30,000 won, while the standalone samgyeopsal (pork belly) was already sold out. Hoods over the tables keep the smell off your clothes and soju is 1,900 won, but go early to Yangpuni if grilled pork belly is the plan.
