Songtan izakaya in Pyeongtaek: sashimi platter and sukiyaki at Kitsune
Izakaya Kitsune is a Japanese izakaya on Teokgu-ro 23-gil near the Songtan Branch Office in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi, run by a chef who trained in Japan. On a weekday visit at 7 p.m. for a wedding-invitation gathering, the assorted sashimi platter, sukiyaki finished with udon noodles, and a non-alcoholic Earl Grey highball came to the table; the sashimi had no fishy edge and the sukiyaki with udon was filling. With about 30 types of sake, Izakaya Kitsune suits both solo drinking and group dinners.
