Take-home tumbler, 9-hour ssanghwacha at Pocheon café Geurine Oasis
Geurine Oasis is a large bakery café near Gwangneung Arboretum in Pocheon, Gyeonggi, with a main building, an annex and an outdoor terrace. On a weekday visit with her mom, the writer ordered an iced americano — served in a reusable tumbler you can take home — and a 9-hour traditional ssanghwacha (herbal tonic tea), which had no sweetness and tasted as strong as Korean herbal medicine. Geurine Oasis is photogenic and welcomes dogs, but parking fits only about 15 cars, so allow extra time.
