Simya Kkochi is a traditional Chinese restaurant and bar in Samsan-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan, open from 5pm to 5am. On a second-round visit after eating meat first, the writer ordered a small guobaorou (sweet and sour pork) and mapo tofu instead of lamb skewers, and found the small portion generous and the mapo tofu mild with a subtle mala aroma. With private rooms and free parking out front, it's a solid pick for a late drink or gathering in Samsan.
