Japanese restaurant near GS Art Center with self-serve rice: Chisot
Chisot Yeoksam Main Branch is a Nagoya-style hitsumabushi (grilled eel rice bowl) restaurant in Gangnam, Seoul, a 6-minute walk from Exit 7 of Yeoksam Station and close to GS Art Center. Visiting alone on a Friday after work, the writer ordered the hitsumabushi set and ate it in the classic four quarters, helped themselves to extra warm rice and ochazuke at the self-serve corner at the back, and received salmon jang (soy-marinated salmon) through a Naver review event. Chisot Yeoksam Main Branch makes a filling, restorative meal whether you come solo or with a group.
