Gongdeok old-house café with financier-base egg tarts: Ieo Coffee

Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch is a roastery café in a renovated old house on a small alley near the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail, between Gongdeok and Daeheung stations in Mapo, Seoul. After lunch near Mapo Station, the writer walked over with a friend for a decaf iced americano (4,300 won, with no decaf surcharge), a cream almond (5,800 won) and an egg tart (4,100 won) whose financier base cut cleanly with a fork. For a quiet, cozy coffee shop in this part of Seoul, Ieo Coffee Roasters is an easy recommendation.
