Cucumber gimbap and sashimi basket at Baennori, a Mangwon-dong pub
Baennori is a Korean pub (한식주점) on the lower ground floor of a building on Wolddeukcup-ro 15-gil in Mangwon-dong, Mapo, Seoul. On a Saturday just before 5pm, the flatfish and beef tartare sashimi basket cost 39,000 won and the cucumber gimbap side cost 4,000 won, and the cucumber gimbap was the more memorable of the two. Order the half-and-half sashimi to go with soju at Baennori, but always add the cucumber gimbap.
