Sokcho market tempura shop at Gate 6, bench picnic: Hwangbuja Twigim
Hwangbuja Twigim is a tempura and squid sundae (stuffed squid sausage) shop at units 26-27 in the Dakjeon Alley of Sokcho Jungang Market in Gangwon. Parking at the market's public lot and walking in through Gate 6, the writer took away nurungji (scorched rice) squid sundae, Abai sundae, and red snow crab tempura, then gave in and ate it all on a nearby bench, even going back for a non-alcoholic beer. Hwangbuja Twigim's fried food tastes best straight out of the fryer, so next time it is worth eating in.
