Jongno Korean BBQ restaurant with a 10-minute wait: Chowon Restaurant
Chowon Restaurant Jongno 3-ga Branch is a frozen pork belly (naengsam) barbecue restaurant next to Tapgol Park in Jongno, Seoul, a 2-minute walk from Jongno 3-ga Station Exit 5, with a few outdoor tables. The outdoor tent seats were full on a Saturday evening, so the wait was 10 minutes for an indoor table with the same tent feel, followed by two servings of flash-frozen pork belly (180g per serving), steamed egg and beef brisket soybean paste stew. Quieter than the busy main tent alley outside, Chowon Restaurant works well for a date.
