Osan sports bar with fresh half-and-half chicken: Beer Ground

On my day off, after having a fun time in Dongtan, I was reluctant to head home, so I gently talked my husband into it~ In the end, we went together to Beer Ground Osan City Hall Branch!

Spacious seating and a sports-pub atmosphere

Once inside, I found the interior more spacious and comfortable than I had expected. There were quite a lot of seats too, so it looked great for visiting with a group~

That made it seem perfect for a group work dinner at an Osan bar, too! More than a typical drinking spot, it really had the feel of a sports pub~ There were two TVs installed, so you can have a drink while watching a game. A soccer match happened to be on when I visited! Watching a match with chicken and beer would make time fly, right?

Ordering soy sauce and Cheongyang mayo boneless half-and-half chicken

We browsed the menu through the table-order system, and there was more variety than I expected! After debating for a while, we ordered the half-and-half chicken~ Bone-in chicken was available too, but we switched to boneless chicken thigh meat and chose half soy sauce, half Cheongyang mayo! For drinks, we ordered one 330cc Asahi Black draft beer and a can of Coca-Cola Zero. And since chicken alone felt like it might be a little lacking, we added a fruit plate as a palate cleanser. We got half melon and half pineapple.

After we ordered and waited a little, they brought chicken-leg-shaped crackers as the complimentary snack~ They were tastier than I expected! Nutty and salty, I meant to eat just one but kept reaching for more~

The cola and Asahi Black draft beer came out first, so they were nice with the complimentary snack. I think I had tried canned Asahi Black before, but this was my first time having it on draft, so I was curious and ordered it. Maybe because it was draft, it went down smoothly and cleanly. So easy to sip, gulp after gulp~ I think beer lovers would enjoy this draft-beer lineup too!

While waiting for the food, I looked through the menu again and found a new item at Beer Ground Osan City Hall Branch: charcoal barbecue boneless chicken! Looking at the photo, I thought, oh, should I have ordered this instead? So I decided to save it for the next visit!! I also heard that Beer Ground is known for good pizza. We picked chicken this time, but next time I need to try the pizza too~!

Oh! Ordering the special fruit plate and premium draft beer was such a good call~ They were running a super-special draft-beer promotion, so beer lovers need to gather at Beer Ground Osan City Hall Branch!

Generous, piping-hot half-and-half chicken

About 10 minutes after ordering, the chicken we had been waiting for came out first~ My first thought as soon as it arrived was, oh, this is a lot? The half-and-half chicken came with a cabbage salad in Kewpie mayonnaise and chicken pickled radish, and the whole spread was generous~!

They were especially generous with the sauces, drizzling them on in abundance~!

The soy sauce chicken was sweet and savory,

while the Cheongyang mayo paired really well with the chicken, adding a slight spicy kick to mayonnaise's creamy flavor~

Most of all, the chicken was fried to order, so it arrived piping hot! Crispy outside and juicy inside—freshly fried chicken really does taste best~! As a chicken lover, I enjoyed it even more than I expected!

Melon and pineapple that paired beautifully with chicken

The fruit plate we ordered followed shortly after. And this was quite a generous portion too~ The melon and pineapple were neatly cut into easy-to-eat pieces, so they were convenient to enjoy.

Eating a piece of pineapple and then a piece of melon between bites of chicken made my mouth feel refreshed~ Honestly, I hadn't expected chicken and fruit to go this well together, but it was surprisingly a good combination~ This was really such a good order~!

Considering the quality of the food, the snack prices did not feel burdensome either, so it seemed like an easy place for everyone to visit comfortably~ It works not only when you want chicken with a glass of draft beer, but also when you want to enjoy a gathering while watching sports!
