Whole pork jowl grilled at a Bupyeong Korean BBQ: Dongducheon
Dongducheon Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal Bupyeong Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant on Sijang-ro 12beon-gil in Bupyeong, Incheon. A couple skipped the samgyeopsal (pork belly) and ordered a whole platter of pork jowl instead, served untrimmed until staff stepped in with scissors once the outside turned golden, yielding a crisp yet chewy bite. With doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and steamed egg included, plus truffle Jjapagetti and fried rice to finish, it made for a very full meal.
