Yeonnam-dong late lunch: sake-don and cold udon, Jongno Donburi

Jongno Donburi Yeonnam is a Japanese donburi (rice bowl) restaurant in a basement space on Donggyo-ro 46-gil in Yeonnam-dong, Mapo, Seoul, near the Gyeongui Line Forest Trail. Arriving for a late lunch with no wait, we ordered one sake-don (18,000 won) and one bukkake udon (13,000 won): the sake-don carried seven thick pieces of salmon, so barely any rice was left, and the jalapeño side dish became the kick the mild cold udon needed. For a late lunch on a Yeonnam-dong date, Jongno Donburi Yeonnam hit the spot.
