Jayang Market chicken shop, soy-sauce dakgangjeong ₩20,000: Mr. Kim's
Mr. Kim's Chicken Jayang Market Branch is a 15-year-old dakgangjeong (sweet crispy fried chicken bites) shop inside Jayang Traditional Market in Gwangjin, Seoul, an 8-10 minute walk from Guui Station. One box of mild and one of soy-sauce dakgangjeong at 9,000 won each plus a canned cola came to 20,000 won, and the boxes were wrapped in aluminium foil so the chicken was still warm at home. With bone-in fried chicken at 9,900 won and old-style whole chicken at 7,000 won, market prices are the biggest draw at Mr. Kim's Chicken.
