Jang-an-dong shabu-shabu bar seats and assorted toppings: Shabu Torang

Shabu Torang Jang-an Direct Branch is a one-pot-per-person shabu-shabu restaurant on the main Janghan-ro road in Jang-an-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul. At 5pm on a weekday I took a bar seat and ordered the 7,900 won basic shabu-shabu with assorted toppings and rose tteokbokki (rice cakes in creamy tomato sauce), plus the 8,700 won spicy shabu-shabu with beef chuck and cream pasta. With 5 broths, choose-your-own toppings and a finishing course, Shabu Torang is a filling and comfortable spot for eating alone.
