Weekend dinner for four at a Yangsan crab restaurant: Deodo Gejang
Deodo Gejang is a Korean restaurant near Tongdosa in Yangsan, Gyeongnam, specializing in yellow crab served two ways — soy-marinated ganjang gejang and spicy yangnyeom gejang — a 9-minute walk from Tongdosa Sinpyeong Bus Terminal. A family of four came for a weekend dinner and ordered the yellow crab pot rice full-course set, two soy and two spicy servings at 18,000 won per person, and the dining room is large enough that they walked straight in at peak time with no wait. The Jeju yellow crab was packed with meat and had no fishy taste, the soy sauce was not too salty and the spicy marinade was sweet with a mild kick, so Deodo Gejang is a place they would return to.
