In short
Gasangsun Coffee (가상순커피) is a roastery café in Ara-dong, Jeju. We ordered two drinks and three bakery items for under ₩20,000; I liked the quiet atmosphere and sweet flavors, although the tart was small.

Where is Gasangsun Coffee, and is parking available?
Two of us visited Gasangsun Coffee (가상순커피), a roastery café in Ara-dong, Jeju. The address is 8 Inda 9-gil, first floor, Jeju-si, and the café said that free parking, reservations, and takeout are available. There are also separate men’s and women’s restrooms inside.
The posted hours were 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The café is closed every Sunday, and last order is 30 minutes before closing.
There was also a notice saying that veterans receive one free drink when they visit. Homemade jujube tea is excluded.
Is it comfortable to visit alone or in a group?
There was a bar table and a 10-person group table. By the window, there were also seats where you could drink while looking outside. When I visited, some older customers were drinking coffee, and someone was using a laptop alone. I felt it would be easy to stop by alone.
The atmosphere was quiet and calm during my visit. The various pots placed around the café caught my eye, and the interior also gave me a slight cocktail-bar feeling.
Can you buy coffee beans and drip bags?
The café also sold coffee beans and drip bags. Since the packages were not very large, I thought they could work well as gifts.
How much does it cost to order drinks and bakery items together?
There were several kinds of bakery items, priced between ₩1,500 and ₩4,000. It felt affordable enough to choose several things to sample.
We ordered one iced Americano and one 100% Mungyeong apple juice. For the bakery items, we chose a tart, a fig cream cheese financier, and a chocolate Levain cookie. Even with two drinks and three bakery items, the total was under ₩20,000.
- Tart: ₩1,500
- Fig cream cheese financier: ₩2,900
- Chocolate Levain cookie: ₩2,800
How were the drinks and bakery items I tried?
We placed the drinks and bakery items in front of a plant in the café and took photos. I liked the Mungyeong apple juice I drank because it had a sweet apple flavor. Since my companion had already eaten lunch, they chose an iced Americano.
The tart was small, but it was good for a light taste. It was topped with plenty of nuts and was sweeter than I expected, which suited my palate.
The chocolate Levain cookie was sweet, with marshmallow and chocolate together. My companion and I both enjoy sweet flavors, so we ate it happily.
There was also a notice saying that anyone who needs coffee grounds can take them for free. What stayed with me from this visit was the quiet atmosphere and being able to choose several bakery items without feeling pressured by the cost.
