Kkanpung shrimp and pork belly mapo tofu at Haeundae Chinese: Bueokgan

Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is an ocean-view Chinese restaurant in Haeundae, Busan, on the second floor of The Sharp Adelis across from Hanwha Resort. Three dishes — kkanpung shrimp (crispy fried shrimp in sweet-spicy sauce), poached-egg oyeopgyeol ganjajang (black bean noodles with five-layer pork belly) and mapo tofu rice bowl — filled up 2 to 3 people, and the shrimp stayed crunchy even after cooling while the mapo tofu came loaded with thick pork belly. For proper Chinese cooking in a polished room with a sea view, Bueokgan Chinese Marine City Branch is worth the trip.
