Gupo Market Chinese restaurant lunch set jjangban jjajang: Hongmigwan
Hongmigwan is a Chinese restaurant with handmade noodles inside Gupo Market in Buk-gu, Busan. On a weekend lunch visit there was a wait behind four parties, then a 23,000 won lunch set of mini tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) and jjangban jjajang (black bean noodles served on a platter) for two, with noodles that stayed chewy and a jjajang sauce that was rich yet smooth. Hongmigwan is known for its jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), but the jjajang and tangsuyuk are better than average too.
