Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch (곱창119 안지랑점) is a hotplate gopchang (grilled intestines) restaurant on the central stretch of Anjirang Gopchang Alley in Nam-gu, Daegu. On a Nam-gu trip with a friend, the writer ordered the A Set of al-gopchang and vegetable gopchang, and the oak smoking gave a gentle smoky aroma with no gamey smell, chewy but never tough. Gopchang119 Anjirang Branch is an easy pick even for people sensitive to gamey smells, and the closing fried rice is a must.
Sushi Naru Yeongdae Hospital Main Branch (스시나루 영대병원본점) is a sushi restaurant in Daemyeong-dong, Nam-gu, Daegu, near Yeongdae Hospital Station. On a trip to Daegu, the writer, a big sushi fan, ordered Sushi Naru's signature special sushi: salad and udon came first, followed by flounder, salmon, uni, eel and torch-seared salmon sushi. With its cozy wood interior and friendly service, Sushi Naru is a Daemyeong-dong sushi restaurant worth returning to.
