Yeoksam eel restaurant better than Fukuoka's eel bowl: Unagiwa
Unagiwa is an eel rice bowl and hitsumabushi restaurant on the second floor of a building 3 minutes' walk from Exit 7 of Yeoksam Station in Gangnam, Seoul. On a weekday 7pm visit booked through Naver, two Hitsumabushi Sang sets were ordered, each topped with a whole antibiotic-free charcoal-grilled eel, and eaten four ways: eel on its own, with scallion, wasabi and perilla leaf, with plum sauce, and finally as ochazuke. Unagiwa's eel tasted better than the eel rice bowl eaten in Fukuoka, and the closing ochazuke was the best part.
