Sangsu ochazuke spot with eel and cod roe bowls: Ochaya

Ochaya is an ochazuke (rice in hot broth) restaurant on the second floor of a building 237m from Exit 1 of Sangsu Station in Mapo, Seoul. The writer ordered both the unagi (eel) ochazuke at 16,000 won and the cod roe ochazuke at 10,000 won, eating half of each bowl with the rice and toppings alone and half with the broth poured over: the eel came in a generous portion and the cod roe tasted savory rather than salty. Ochaya makes a warm, gently seasoned meal for days when spicy, heavy food has worn you out.
