Supyo-ro dumpling hot pot with added kalguksu, Seoul: Jongga Mandu
Jongga Mandu is a handmade dumpling hot pot restaurant on Supyo-ro in Jongno, Seoul, between Jongno 3-ga and Jonggak stations. After a first visit with a sponsored tasting group, the writer went back several times paying out of pocket with friends, this time ordering the half-and-half broth hot pot for two plus kalguksu (knife-cut noodles). Because the mandu are hand-pinched out front every day and turn over fast, even friends who usually avoid dumplings for upsetting their stomach praised Jongga Mandu.
