Daegu Korean restaurant: fried burdock side and squid-pork, Banwoldang
Banwoldang Bujasikdang is a Korean restaurant in Jung-gu, Daegu, in the alley behind exit 21 of Banwoldang Station, serving fire-grilled meats and a rustic cheonggukjang (fermented soybean paste) stew. On a weekday lunch visit with my husband, we waited briefly and then ordered the new fire-grilled squid-pork stir-fry for two with two bowls of rice, eating the smoky squid and pork with self-serve ssam vegetables. The fried burdock side dish was a treat too, making Banwoldang Bujasikdang an easy recommendation for Korean food near Banwoldang Station.
