Makeup cleansing balm for dry skin: HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal

How did I use HEEDA cleansing balm?

I used it because I was concerned about post-cleansing tightness and makeup separating during the dry winter season. Since I tend to find skincare bothersome, I liked being able to remove makeup and massage my skin at the same time.

I spread it evenly over my dry face and massaged in circular motions, focusing on areas where I was concerned about blackheads and pores. After lightly massaging areas with heavier makeup, I added a little water to emulsify it and rinsed with lukewarm water.

How were the texture and cleansing feel?

It came with a spoon, so I could use it without scooping it out with my fingers. At first, it felt richer than cleansing foam, so I wondered whether it would rinse off well, but it washed away smoothly after massaging.

As I kept rolling it over my skin, I could see bubbles forming in the black balm and its color becoming lighter. Since my cleansing routine took longer, I naturally spent time massaging my skin as well.

How did my skin feel afterward?

Afterward, my skin felt soft and moisturized underneath, with less tightness than usual. Because my skin felt moisturized, my makeup also seemed to apply well afterward.

I mainly used it when I wanted to cleanse off makeup and massage my skin at once. However, skin reactions can vary from person to person.
