Winter makeup cleansing balm: HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal

Did it remove long-lasting makeup well?

I used HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm again after trying it previously. This time, I focused on removing long-lasting products such as sunscreen, mascara, matte lip products, and eye shadow.

As it melted in my hands, it softened into an oil-like texture and dissolved my makeup. It removed mascara without leftover residue, and it felt less irritating when I cleansed around my eyes.

However, strongly staining lip products and mascara needed a little more rubbing than eyeliner or eye shadow.

Was it moisturizing without a second cleanse?

I did not do a second cleanse after the test. For me, it left my skin feeling moisturized and clean rather than tight after cleansing. It was good to use in winter when dryness was a concern.

What were the pros and drawbacks?

• It dissolved makeup well, including waterproof products.
• My skin felt less tight and more moisturized after cleansing.
• I could use it without irritation even on days when my skin felt sensitive.
• It rinsed off without much residue, and it was also fine to use while massaging areas with blackheads.
• It has almost no scent, which may feel bland depending on your preference.
• The wide opening sometimes meant I scooped out too much at once.

What skin type did it suit?

It suited me because I have combination dehydrated skin, dislike tightness after cleansing, and want to remove makeup thoroughly. I reached for it again after using it once, and I plan to keep using it through the winter.
