Cheonho chicken galbi with mom, garlic salt and soy sauce: Ondogye
Ondogye is a grill-it-yourself dakgalbi (grilled chicken) restaurant near Cheonho Rodeo in Gangdong, Seoul. Visiting with her mom, the writer ordered one serving each of garlic salt and soy sauce dakgalbi, plus the complimentary fried gizzards and doenjang stew (soybean paste stew) and an added rice ball, and found the chicken tender with no gamey smell at all. Since each flavor can be ordered in single servings and staff grill everything for you, it's an easy, comfortable spot for two.
