Hongdae restaurant in Seoul for dongpo pork rice bowl: Surim Sikdang
Surim Sikdang Hongdae is the Hongdae branch of a tantanmen (spicy sesame noodle) restaurant famous in Busan, set in an alley midway between Sangsu Station and Hongik University Station in Mapo, Seoul. On a weeknight, a group of friends shared tantanmen, dongpo pork rice bowl, beef noodle soup and eggplant mandu (5 pieces) at Surim Sikdang Hongdae and scraped every dish clean. The restaurant fills up by 7pm even on weekdays, but the short menu keeps tables turning quickly.
