Sadang Station izakaya in Seoul: Hanoi hotpot and soju at Cheonjan
Cheonjan is an izakaya on Dongjakdae-ro 7-gil, right by Sadang Station in Dongjak-gu, Seoul. The order was Hanoi jeongol (Hanoi hotpot) and tako wasabi with soju — the hotpot has a rice noodle broth base with Vietnamese chili, clear but sharply spicy, and a generous pile of bean sprouts, napa cabbage and meat. Cheonjan is an easy meeting point for friends coming from across Seoul and Gyeonggi, and worth a return visit.
