Couple's dinner with bell-ring bokbunja and double chawanmushi: Manmok
Manmok is a quiet, upscale Japanese restaurant near exit 2 of Seonleung Station in Gangnam, Seoul, known for its eel rice bowl and hanwoo (Korean beef) hot pot. A couple ordered a whole eel rice bowl for ₩39,000, hanwoo nabe for ₩63,000, and bokbunja (Korean black raspberry wine) for ₩22,000, and were treated to two servings of chawanmushi, a bell-ringing bokbunja cup, and a black tea and matcha ice cream finish that felt like a full course. Manmok isn't cheap, but it's a great pick for a quiet dinner or a meal to treat someone properly.
