Birthday dinner gyukatsu and warm-pot rice for 3: Ichigyu Sinnonhyeon

Ichigyu Gangnam Sinnonhyeon Branch is a gyukatsu (beef cutlet) restaurant with a Japanese home-style feel, tucked on the 2nd floor of an alley behind the CGV near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam, Seoul. Three friends gathered for a birthday and ordered two servings of Ichigyu gyukatsu, Japanese-style curry, and three glasses of Kirin draft beer, enjoying thick-cut gyukatsu with Isigny butter and curry topped with king prawns and a soft-boiled egg. The standout detail was the rice served in an insulated pot, staying warm until the very last bite.
