Busan eel restaurant: eel four ways plus maguro sashimi, Shunsaikubo
Shunsaikubo Hwamyeong is a Nagoya-style hitsumabushi (grilled eel rice bowl) restaurant on Yangdal-ro in Hwamyeong-dong, Buk-gu, Busan. One hitsumabushi costs 39,000 won and the maguro akami sashimi 26,000 won, and the eel is eaten four ways — plain, as unatama, with yakumi, then as ochazuke — alongside a 9,500 won Kirin draft beer. Since a Michelin Guide mention brought waiting lines to Shunsaikubo, booking ahead is the better plan.
