Sokcho makguksu restaurant, dongchimi sipped on the side: Topgol

Sokcho Topgol Makguksu Main Branch is a Korean restaurant specialising in deulmemak, perilla oil buckwheat noodles (makguksu), tucked between the public parking lots at Sokcho Beach. The order was deulmemak at 13,000 won, pollack sashimi buckwheat noodles at 13,000 won and a potato pancake at 17,000 won: the deulmemak was mixed with extra perilla oil instead of the dongchimi (radish water kimchi) broth, with the dongchimi drunk separately, while the pollack sashimi noodles got a spoon of seasoning sauce halfway through for extra savoury depth. If you want to keep that nutty perilla flavour intact, sip the dongchimi on the side at Sokcho Topgol Makguksu Main Branch.
