Jayang-dong Korean BBQ with charcoal brazier pork belly: Ssamchae

Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal is a Korean BBQ restaurant in Jayang-dong, Gwangjin, Seoul, a short walk from Guui Station Exit 4, where wrap greens and grilling vegetables are unlimited. Instead of the signature iron-lid pork belly, this visit ordered charcoal brazier pork belly for two, along with cheese-topped steamed egg, a hearty doenjang stew, and ₩1,900 draft beer. Anyone who builds big, loaded lettuce wraps will leave Ssamchae Sotttukkeong Samgyeopsal full.

Cod roe cream udon at Robadayakki Sodam, a Yeouido izakaya

Robadayakki Sodam Yeouido Branch is a robatayaki izakaya near Saetgang Station in Yeouido, Seoul, grilling fish and skewers over an open flame. This visit brought the 11-kind mixed skewer platter, whole grilled Spanish mackerel at 21,000 won and cod roe cream udon, with draft beer and lemon chuhai; the udon was pleasantly sharp with Vietnamese chili and the mackerel filled the whole plate. Robadayakki Sodam works well in Yeouido for dinner with a light drink.
